Dr. Seuss Bulletin Board
I read The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss to my students. Then they painted Cat in the Hat hats. After they dried up we made a list of rhyming words and they wrote them on the hats. They loved it. I displayed the hats on a bulletin board. The table under the bulletin board had many other Dr. Seuss books for my students to read.

Valentine's Day Hearts
My students painted huge hearts with tempera paint. They went around the shape of the heart with a different color. They also painted designs so that the hearts looked unique and different. They had a blast painting them.
